Military unit A2298, also known as the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion, is an intelligence unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was created in 2018 as part of the Airborne Assault Forces. It is based in the city of Zhytomyr and was formed with the primary purpose of performing intelligence missions for the Airborne Assault Forces. Officers from the battalion achieved second place at the Cambrian Patrol International Competition in Great Britain, which is one of the most challenging competitions in Europe and has been held since 1959. On the basis of their achievements, the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion was awarded the "For Courage and Courage" medal by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, on 17 November 2022.
